Chef Maximilian DiMare brings together the flavors of his Sicilian heritage and the skills of a celebrated restaurant career to create memorable dining experiences. A Boston native, Max grew up surrounded by the culinary traditions of his family, who are from Augusta, a seaside town in Sicily.

In the kitchens of his Nana Carmella and father, Domenic, he learned that the key to great cooking is treating ingredients with respect and crafting dishes with technique and restraint.
By his early 20s, Max was leading kitchens in the Bay Area, helping launch beloved restaurants like Frascati in San Francisco and Wood Tavern in Oakland—earning recognition such as a Rising Star Chef award and three stars for Wood Tavern from Michael Bauer of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Today, through Augusta, named in honor of his family’s Italian roots, Chef Max brings restaurant-level quality and Mediterranean tradition to private events, holiday meals, and weekly dining.
